The Face,
Encounters with "The Face" typically occur within buildings, especially at higher floors, although no one is certain at what minimum height it appears. Witnesses have reported encountering The Face at least 10 stories high, with the highest record being on the 29th floor. Therefore, the exact height of The Face cannot be determined, and no one has ever seen the complete appearance of The Face from the outside of the building.
The cause of The Face's appearance is unknown, but it seems to possess some kind of perception ability outside the windows of floors where explorers are active. It slowly emerges from the bottom of the window and can move parallel to it. Additionally, all witnesses have encountered The Face while being alone, leading explorers to believe that at least two people should explore the building together and not leave each other's sight.
No living witness has ever recorded a clear description of The Face's appearance, and thus, explorers generally believe that making eye contact with it is fatal. This also leads to no one knowing how The Face attacks its targets.
The only indirect record of a face-to-face encounter with The Face was reported by a survivor, A. A and his companion were searching for supplies on the 17th floor when he suddenly heard a muffled sound that caused ringing in his ears. Then, he heard their companion from the next room scream in agony, along with the ringing sound that caused A to become dizzy and nauseous, causing him to collapse and vomit. After the screams and ringing stopped (According to A's recollection, the sound lasted for about five minutes before stopping), the entire building returned to an almost completely dead silent and lifeless state. A quickly ran to his companion's room, finding no signs of external damage but instead finding the room splattered with fresh blood. A's companion was [________], and his [___] was [___]. After mourning in silence, A returned to the base with his companion's [_____] since he couldn't continue exploring by himself in this situation.
