The Patrol

The Patrol is perhaps the most well-known and earliest encountered city nightmare among explorers. Standing at around 55 to 60 meters tall, it is characterized by the thunderous sound of its footsteps when it moves and the large number of bats always flying around it. So, when a large number of bats appear in the air, it usually signals the presence of The Patrol nearby.

Its typical walking speed is approximately 600 meters per minute, but records show that when it is chasing after explorers, its speed can reach up to 1000 meters per minute. Therefore, it is unlikely that one can escape from The Patrol by running. Additionally, The Patrol is very sensitive to moving objects, so highways and public squares are considered extremely dangerous places for explorers without transportation.

Although The Patrol is enormous, its weight seems lighter than imagined because it does not damage the asphalt where it passes. However, its weight is still enough to crush cars, and being trampled to death by it is a common fate for many explorers.

According to multiple eyewitness accounts, The Patrol seems to possess the ability to speak human languages. When it detects explorers, nearby people can hear a deep voice saying something like "I found you." or "Here you are". Records have also shown that it has spoken in different languages, indicating that The Patrol seems to have some ability to communicate with humans and understand many human languages. However, there are currently no records of successful conversations with The Patrol.

Furthermore, The Patrol only seems to have a desire to chase and attack explorers who wander the streets. For some unknown reason, it specifically avoids destroying buildings. Here, it should be emphasized that it is not that The Patrol cannot destroy buildings, but rather it avoids causing unnecessary damage to them. It also seems to lose interest in targets that disappear. Therefore, the methods of dealing with The Patrol are relatively simple: when a large number of bats appear in the air, hide in a building. If discovered, hide behind corners or cover and find a way to get into a building since there is still a chance of being trampled to death outside.

Finally, The Patrol has fixed routes of movement in the city, making it relatively easy to avoid overall. However, currently, no one knows how to cause damage or influence it.
